Tourist in your own town

by admin - May 18th, 2010

Or close to it… To commemorate B’s last day of vacation, we took a drive down to Multnomah Falls, 30 minutes West of our town. It was a gorgeous day at Oregon’s top tourist destination! See for yourself:

Catching up is hard to do!

To (mis)quote Paul Anka – Now I know, I know that it’s true!

Here’s an attempt to show you what’s been happening the past 3 months! It seems like just yesterday little DP turned 4;  we’ve seen a lot of changes – she’s really a big kid and very fun to have conversations with and it’s awesome explore this world around us!

A has been very busy with the winegrowers as winter turned to spring – getting the group ready for the big Passport weekend in April. Design, Printing, Distribution of the booklets were done by mid-March and then we had Taste Washington in Seattle at the end of March and the Portland Grand Tasting, Passport Weekend and Celebration Event for Hospice all in one week! That same week it was announced that the group won a Oregon Tourism award, so the big week was capped off with a drive to Bend for A to accept it. We all had a great time, and it wouldn’t have been possible to pull together without B’s time, love & support. Here are some photos from that part of our life this year:

B has been pretty busy too – Full Sail keeps him hopping. During his time off, he took advantage of an exceptionally sunny March weekend to tear-out the old hot tub and start filling in the hole. It was an amazing feat that took only a few hours – about 2 weeks shorter than we thought the project would last! We’ve been enjoying the sunny weekends and have just a few finishing touches to mark the backyard redo ‘DONE’ for the season. Here’s some fun pix of the demo!

Did you know that a 4-year-old’s birthday celebration lasts for 4 days? This one did. We insist she’s not spoiled – she just doesn’t want to give up on a good thing. Here are some pictures from the past weekend!

Merry Christmas!

by admin - December 25th, 2009

Hope that you are having a warm and lovely Christmas morning. We were up at 6 AM to see what Santa had brought while we were sleeping. The jolly old elf ate 5 cookies & 10 spiced nuts, drank a glass of milk & dropped of a few goodies! Merry Christmas to you from the Brennans!
